Writing stories has been a passion of mine since I was old enough to string a sentence together on paper. In elementary school, I wrote Scooby-Doo inspired short stories, and in middle school, I moved on to writing chapter books. When I was younger, writing was something fun to fill my time with, but as I grew older, I realized the power that words hold in the world. The books I read helped me escape the world when it was too much to handle, and they helped me view the world from different points of view. It eventually became clear to me that writing is what I want to do for the rest of my life, and to me, my writing will be a success if I make even one person feel encouraged, understood, or less alone. That is the purpose of this blog: to share my love of reading and writing, to explore what is happening in the world, and to encourage others in their daily lives.

I am currently pursuing a degree in professional writing at the University of Oklahoma, and I am represented by Rachel Beck at Liza Dawson Associates. Young adult fiction is my favorite thing to read and write, but I have read all sorts of books within this category, from romance to historical fiction to science fiction to fantasy.
